Q1 What goes first, foundation or concealer?
It turns out that not everyone, including the experts, agrees on the correct order of makeup application. The good news is that there is more than one way to apply your makeup that will make your skin and face look beautiful and polished. Use of concealer and primer Next, grab your application tool of choice, be it a brush, makeup sponge or clean fingers. Apply your foundation using short strokes or patting motions, starting from the center of your face and sweeping outwards. Make sure that the color seamlessly blends past your jawline and down your neck to avoid any harsh lines. Then, dot on your concealer where you need extra coverage and diffuse it with your application tool until it blends with your foundation.

The lightweight feel makes me reach for this primer a little more often than The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer, which I discuss next. For days when a full face of makeup seems a bit too much, applying a small amount of concealer on selected areas of your face can go a long way. Simply apply the concealer under your eyes, around your mouth and nose over any spots or blemishes, and you’ve got yourself a super lightweight, yet flawless base.
